President's Message

Eddie Head
President, SDHS Alumni Association

I hope everyone had a great summer. Another school year is upon us with plenty of changes going on at SDHS.

Hello San Diego High Staff,

Our 2018 Track And Field season is nearing and we need volunteers for our home meets. Please come out and support the student athletes that work so hard to represent the wonderful San Diego High athletic tradition.

The girls team has won 6 league titles 6 straight years and the boys team won 5 straight before coming in 3rd last season. The program continues to produce Student Athletes and we have five from the 2017 squad that are attending some of the best colleges and universities in the land.

2 Georgetown, 1 John Hopkins, 1 Cal State San Marcos and 1 UC Santa Barbara!

I am a teacher and have a Donors Choose page up to get class sets of novels for my 9th graders.  Teachers all over the U.S. need your help to bring their classroom dreams to life.

SDHS Softball is getting a new field but the support of our community is needed to raise the last $8,000.

San Diego High School has teamed up with the non-profit organization Second Chance Fields to renovate the girls’ softball field and bring it up to safe standards.  So far, together with Second Chance Fields, we have $82,000 of the $90,000 budget, but we still need to fundraise the last $8,000.
